As the country goes to the polls, Year 6 children led an in-school general election of our very own. The Year 6 children formed their own parties, created a set of policies for their manifestos, and even found time to make matching rosettes!
After votes were counted, with 32% the winning candidate was Lauren for the Progress Party, “the party that will move the country forward”, with their policies of helping troubled families turn their lives around, making sure girls in developing countries get a good education, and providing computer coding programs for people to learn about computers.
Well done to all the candidates for getting their points across so clearly without any mention of Brexit! Maybe the adult politicians could learn a thing or two!
