Developing our outdoor space

We’re very fortunate to have so much outside space at our school.  In fact, we have so much space that we’re able to have a large playing/sports field, a dedicated outdoor space for the younger children, a pond area, a garden area, and a wooded area for forest school, all within our school grounds!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our volunteer, Sharon, who comes to school at least once a week to help develop and make the most of this space.  Sharon has been helping children to plant all sorts of things and develop various spaces.  It’s very much a work in progress, but these photos give a sneak preview of what is happening at Brook.

We’d also like to thank our neighbour, Ed, also known as The Rebel Farmer, for lending us some growing platforms and helping us to fill our planting beds with compost.  Ed also keeps an eye on our trees for us, as he’s a qualified tree surgeon.  Thanks Ed, it’s great to have you next door!
