The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy

The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy project was launched in 2015 when an appeal was made to all 53 Commonwealth nations to contribute areas of indigenous forest to be preserved in perpetuity to mark Her Majesty’s lifetime of service to the Commonwealth.

As part of this project, Mrs Morley arranged for the school to receive 5 saplings from the Woodland Trust. We have Rowan, Hazel and Silver Birch.  These were planted immediately by The Green Team to give them the best chance of survival.  They were surrounded by tubes to protect them from pests.
